Love Really IS The Answer

We've all heard it at least once in our lives. "Love is the answer". But have you ever considered whether love really is the answer? That is what I'd like to explore here in this post because I came across that phrase again today, and the question stuck with me. Is love really the answer? And what questions does it answer?

First I would like to define what I believe love is. Sure there is romantic love, but that is not what I'm going to explore here. Love is a simple word for a broad spectrum of feelings and experiences, but for the purpose's of this post, the love I'm writing about here is that which frees, allows, accepts, supports, shares, gives, and unites. It is life affirming, empowering, healing, creative, and inspiring. And it is that which is useful and helpful in bringing about the very best for all concerned.

Whenever I ask myself the big questions in life, I always end up with the same answer. Whether it is "What is my purpose in life?", "Why am I here?", or even "Who am I?", the answer is always Love. If I ever want guidance on what to do next, I ask myself "What do I do now?", and the answer is Love. If I find myself in a predicament and wonder "How do I respond to this?", the clearest answer is Love.

Sure there are many other ways to answer these questions, but Love is the grandest of them all. I can not think of anything greater or higher to aim for. I am not saying that I succeed in responding with love to everything that comes up in my life. Often I fall way short of it, but I do keep reminding myself that Love is the ultimate goal. Even if I fail, most of my efforts have been positive to some degree because I strived to love.

So here are some more questions to consider. What is important in your life? What matters at the end of the day? When you look back on your life in the end, what will you have wished you did more of? What do you want for your children? What do you wish your parents would have given you more of? What is the best feeling you have ever experienced? What do you want to give more of? What word comes to mind when you think of your closest friends and family?

Love.

Love really is the answer.

The only question to ask then is:

What would Love do now?

The 7 Natural Laws of the Universe

The Law of Attraction is just part of one of the 7 natural laws of the Universe: the Law of Vibration. Of the 7 Laws, it may be the most important in how our everyday lives play out, but all of the laws are in effect whether we are aware of them or not. Knowing what the 7 laws are and how they work can make a significant difference in applying them to create the life you truly desire.

The 7 natural laws are in no particular order, but since the Law of Attraction has been discussed so much in The Secret, we'll start with it.

1. The Law of Vibration states that everything vibrates and nothing rests. Vibrations of the same frequency resonate with each other, so like attracts like energy. Everything is energy, including your thoughts. Consistently focusing on a particular thought or idea attracts its vibrational match. How to apply it: Focus on what you want instead of what you don't want.

2. The Law of Relativity states that nothing is what it is until you relate it to something. Point of view is determined by what the observer is relating to. The nature, value, or quality of something can only be measured in relation to another object. How to apply it: Practice relating your situation to something worse than yours, and you will feel good about where you are.

3. The Law of Cause and Effect states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Every cause has an effect, and every effect has a cause. Be at cause for what you want, and you will get the effect. All thought is creative, so be careful what you wish for... you will get it. How to apply it: Consistently think and act on what you want to be effective at getting it.

4. The Law of Polarity states that everything has an opposite. Hot-Cold, Light-Dark, Up-Down, Good-Bad. In the absense of that which you are not, that which you are... is not. Polar opposites make existence possible. If what you are not didn't coexist with what you are, then what you are could not be. Therefore, do not condemn or criticize what you are not or what you don't want. How to apply it: Look for the good in people and situations. What you focus on, you make bigger in your life.

5. The Law of Rythym states that everything has a natural cycle. The tides go in and back out, night follows day, and life regenerates itself. We all have good times and bad times, but nothing stays the same. Change is constant. Knowing that "This too shall pass" is great wisdom about life's ebb and flow. How to apply it: When you are on a down swing, know that things will get better. Think of the good times that are coming.

6. The Law of Gestation states that everything takes time to manifest. All things have a beginning and grow into form as more energy is added to it. Thoughts are like seeds planted in our fertile minds that bloom into our physical experience if we have nourished them. How to apply it: Stay focused and know that your goals will become reality when the time is right.

7. The Law of Transmutation states that energy moves in and out of physical form. Your thoughts are creative energy. The more you focus your thinking on what you want, the more you harness your creative power to move that energy into results in your life. The Universe organizes itself according to your thoughts. How to apply it: Put your energy and effort, your thoughts and actions into attracting what you want, and you will surely attract the physical manifestation of that energy.

The 7 Natural Laws of the Universe are working with you and for you. Take charge of your life by focusing on what you want, and by law, you will have it.

Forgive Yourself

We all have those days when it is hard to look at ourselves in the mirror. For whatever reason, we judge the reflection looking back at us. We hate what we see and turn away. We find things to distract us from our own demeaning self-talk and tend to resist or suppress how we feel so we don't have to deal with it. We don't realize that the simple act of forgiving and accepting ourselves could spare us the pain caused by holding on to self-destructive emotions.

All judgments are a form of resistance. Resistance creates tension, friction, and blockages that lead to pain and suffering. Energy flows freely when there is nothing obstructing it. Judging ourselves is like building a dam that restricts the flow of well being within us. Health and vitality is our natural state if allow our bodies to heal by letting go of the resistance we carry.

Forgiving yourself is the first step to release this resistance. A simple way to do this is to close your eyes and place your hands on your chest over your heart. Allow yourself to take a deep breath and relax for a moment. Now speak to the critical and disapproving part of you that is holding on to your self-judgments and say gently: "I'm sorry. I forgive myself. And now I deeply and completely accept myself."

Forgiving and accepting yourself frees you to experience greater peace and ease. You'll feel yourself lighten up and let go of what you held onto so tightly. Doing so is effortless, and you'll discover that all the effort was in resisting it. Forgiving yourself is letting go and allowing the flow of well being to move through you unrestrained.

So remember the next time you are quick to judge yourself that you can simply let it go and forgive yourself. We all make mistakes. If we didn't, we would never learn and grow. See your challenges as blessings that give you the opportunity to make a new choice to be who you want to be now. We are all doing the best we can in the moment with what we have and know. With each mistake, we gain new knowledge and experience to make a wiser choice. Beating ourselves up about it only strains our progress. Forgiving ourselves frees us up to move ahead.

Most importantly, forgiving yourself is loving yourself. If you aren't loving and accepting yourself, you can't love anyone else in your life fully. You may also notice that in forgiving yourself, you'll find it easier to forgive others you may have held resentments and judgments about. (Hint: Your judgments were never about them anyway... The people in your life are really just reflections of yourself.)

Forgive, Accept, Let Go, Release, Bless, and Love... and you'll be so happy and peaceful. :)

Anything Fast

Since I have explored most of the offerings of each teacher in The Secret, I have come to love most of what Joe Vitale produces. One book that he's endorsed, "Anything Fast" by Stuart Lichtman, is the most comprehensive guide I've read for attracting A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G you want FAST! I got it a couple of months ago and have studied it thoroughly. Now that I've finished reading the last bonus I received, I've been authorized to share it with you.

Though the title says "How to Get Lots of Money for Anything Fast", this book explains a process that can be used to quickly attract anything you desire, whether it is a health related goal, a partner, the perfect job, a new car, or your dream home. Included with the ebook are nine unadvertised bonuses that cover a wide range of things from "becoming lucky" to "turning around dicey situations". There is also a "Super Achievement Clearing Process" that is extremely powerful at removing blocks in your subconscious mind.

Stuart began using the techniques that later evolved into what he calls the Cybernetic Transposition Method when he was a student at M.I.T. After having a near-death experience and being clinically dead for 8 minutes, he was awakened to abilities he'd never been aware of. He began meditating two hours a day to "receive packets of information" that would become the actual nuts and bolts of the process. Since then, he has personally trained over 50,000 people around the world to use it and has helped thousands more through his book.

Here's what Joe Vitale had to say about it: "Here was a precise set of instructions on having, doing, and being anything you could imagine. I read over the material in awe. While I've been investigating the processes for creating whatever you want in your life, I had never come across anything that clearly walked people through all the steps of picking, naming, and getting their dreams. Here, in short, were formulas for miracles."

I agree with Joe. This book is literally an operation manual for your mind. Though I'm still studying it and working on applying it in my own life, I didn't want to waste any time sharing it with you now that I'm allowed to. Click on the book to read more about it.

The BIG Secret

The Secret has helped many people become aware of how they can use the Law of Attraction consciously to create what they desire in their lives, but there is still a bigger secret people aren't getting; one that has the potential to change the world and the way we interact with each other in it.

This Big Secret is touched on quickly near the end of the movie, but no one says it so matter of factly as Rhonda does in her book of the same title. All the things that point to this bigger secret are shared by the teachers in The Secret, but none of them actually make the bold statement she does. Even Neale Donald Walsch, an author who has written several books on this big secret, didn't even say it in the movie.

So let's review some of the things the teachers in The Secret did say that lead up to this BIG secret...

John Assaraf: "Everything is made up of the exact same thing, whether it's your hand, the ocean, or a star. We're all connected. We just don't see it. Everything in the Universe is connected. It is just one energy field."

James Ray: "Energy can never be created or destroyed. It always was, always has been, and moves into form, through form, and out of form. So if you think you're just this meat suit running around, think again. You're an energy field operating in a larger energy field."

Rhonda Byrne: "Whichever way you look at it, the result is still the same. We are One. We are all connected, and we are all part of the One Energy Field. Call it whatever you want, but we are all One."

So this brings us to the Big Secret of Life. Since We are One and are all connected, then we are not just a part of Life. We are Life itself. Everything is energy, we are energy, and we are one energy together. You can give this great infinite and eternal energy many names, but the fact remains that we are not separate from it. We are It. There is only One of us, and collectively we experience ourselves through Life and all its unigue and individual expressions of creation.

Michael Bernard Beckwith: "Scripturally we could say that we are the image and likeness of God. We could say we are another way that the Universe is becoming conscious of itself. We could say that we are the infinite field of unfolding possibility. And all of that would be true."

Simply put, the Big secret is that We are God... being God... through God... as God... in God... and for God. We are God expressing Godself. You are God, they are God, everything around you is God. The trees, the earth, the sky, the stars, our children, the animals... all God. The food you eat, the songs you hear, the books you read, the strangers you meet... all God. The person looking back at you in the mirror, the mirror, the light, the shadows... all God. Your friends, your enemies, your family, your coworkers... all God.

There is only One of us. What you do unto others, you do unto yourself. Everyone in your life is a reflection of you. Hurt others, and you just hurt yourself. Love others, and you love yourself. This is the great secret of life. Understand and live from this knowing of Who We Really Are, and you can be, do, and have anything you desire because you have the same power of God to create your life as you choose.

Neale Donald Walsch: "There is no blackboard in the sky on which God has written your purpose or your mission in life. Your purpose is what you say it is. Your mission is the mission you give yourself. Your life will be what you create it as."

(A side note: I highly recommend Neale's "Conversations with God" book series. I read "Book 1" over ten years ago, and it was like a breath of fresh air saying all the things I knew deep down but never could put into words. It is the clearest communication I have ever read on the subject of God and Who We Really Are.)

What You Resist Persists

"What you resist persists"
- Carl Jung

Bob Doyle, one of the teachers in The Secret explains: "The reason that what you resist persists is because if you're resisting something, you're saying 'No, I don't want this thing because it makes me feel this way - the way I am feeling right now.' So you're putting out a really strong emotion of 'I really don't like this feeling', and then it comes racing toward you."

Rhonda Byrne writes in her book, "As you resist what has appeared, you are adding more energy and more power to those pictures you don't like, and you are bringing more of them at a furious rate."

What you focus on, you make bigger. The more energy you put into something, the more power you give it. Energy flows where attention goes, so resisting something just adds to it. It's in focusing on what you don't want that creates more of what you don't want.

Jack Canfield: "It's OK to notice what you don't want because it gives you contrast to say, 'This is what I do want'. But the fact is, the more you talk about what you don't want, or talk about how bad it is, read about that all the time, and then say how terrible it is - well, you're creating more of that."

Michael Bernard Beckwith: "Learn to become still and to take your attention away from what you don't want, and all the emotional charge around it, and place the attention on what you wish to experience."

Resistance creates blocks, tension, stress, fighting, and war. Ultimately, it only causes pain and suffering within yourself and the world. To get what you want, you have to let go of resisting and focusing on what you don't want. Release your resistance and the flow of abundance, health, and love will flow easily into your life.

So can you let it go?

Will you let it go?

When?

Focus and Let Go

The key to harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction is focus. Whether you focus on what you want or what you don't want, the Law of Attraction brings to you what you focus on because like attracts like. If we keep thinking about what we don't want, we get more of what we don't want. In order for you to get what you want, it is crucial to focus on what you want.

If there are a lot more "don't wants" in your mind than "wants", start by looking at what the want is underneath the "not want". For example, if you don't want to keep going to a job that you hate, shift your focus to wanting a job you will love. If you don't want to be overweight, focus instead on the perfect weight that you want. If you don't want the credit card debt, focus on prosperity and noticing what is abundant in your life.

The more you focus on what you want, the more you will attract what you want to you. You will start doing things a little differently, ideas will come to you, and you will make choices that will be in alignment with what you want. The more you act on inspired thoughts, the faster you will attract what you want. Momentum will build if you consistently focus on your want and keep moving toward it. The stronger your belief and passion, the faster you will get what you want.

If you find it challenging to stay focused and doubts creep in, practice letting go of those thoughts. They are just resistance to the natural flow of abundance and well being that is your birthright. In fact, the only thing between you and all you desire is the resistance you hold on to. Let go and release that resistance, and all your wants will come to you like the floodgates have been opened.

So focus on what you want, and let go of any doubt or fear that comes up about having it. As explored in previous posts, I highly recommend the Sedona Method as a process for releasing resistance. It is super easy and very effective. You are meant to have and experience all you desire in your life. You just have to hone your focus and get out of the way of receiving it.

Past Teachers of The Secret

I was just checking out The Secret website and came across something I hadn't noticed before. They have a page about the past teachers who knew The Secret. People like Joseph Campbell, Andrew Carnegie, Alexander Graham Bell, and Isaac Newton. There's a list of about 18 of them. When you click on each name, there is a brief description of who they were with some of their famous quotes.

Here's the link to view this collection of wisdom: http://www.thesecret.tv/pastteachers.html

3 Tools to Reconnect by Neale Donald Walsch

One of my favorite authors of all time, Neale Donald Walsch, who was featured in The Secret, who wrote the Conversations with God book series, and is coming out with a new book titled "Happier than God" this summer, offers 3 simple tools for us to connect with others and experience Who We Really Are. (Hint: Love).

The Strangest Secret in the World

The audio track below is a recording of Earl Nightingale talking about "The Strangest Secret in the World". Earl was Bob Proctor's mentor and friend who introduced Bob to the book that inspired "The Secret". Earl Nightingale is considered a pioneer in the field of personal development and created Nightingale Conant, the world’s largest producer and publisher of personal development products and services.

Another "The Secret" Book

Yesterday I got an email "out of the blue" from someone I don't even know. Apparently, they got my info from someone I had taken a class with. Though I don't like getting unsolicited emails, I was very grateful to have received this one. They sent it to me because of my interest in "The Secret", and thought I might appreciate what they had to share. In the email, they informed me of another book they had come across titled "The Secret", but this one was by an author named Michael Berg.

They went on to share that in his brief but inspiring book "The Secret: Unlocking the Source of Joy and Fulfillment", Berg writes: "The only way to achieve true joy and fulfillment is by becoming a being of sharing." Intrigued by that statement, I went to the bookstore and grabbed myself a copy.

I read Michael Berg's 100 page book in just two hours. It is small, but packed with powerful spiritual wisdom. He uses storytelling to illustrate that giving freely is what proves to be most satisfying way to be, and he offers some good advice about overcoming obstacles to living a life of generosity.

Simply put, this "Secret" is about shifting our focus from wanting and getting to giving and sharing. We get what we give, and if we offer our thought and actions with the intention of sharing with others, then we are more in alignment with the creative and abundant nature of the Universe. By becoming beings of sharing, we unlock the source of our true joy and lasting fulfillment.

Great little book. I highly recommend it.

Just Love, Love, Love.

"Happiness equates to your capacity to love, and conversely, all your misery equates to your need to be loved. Just love, love, love... and you'll be so happy, and healthy, and prosperous."
- Lester Levenson (creator of The Sedona Method)

Enough said.

Everything is Energy

One of the fundamental concepts discussed in The Secret is that "Everything is energy". As simple and no frills as that may sound, it is actually one of the most mind-blowing and useful concepts you'll ever come to understand about the Universe.

We all live (and are a part of) this constantly moving and changing quantum soup of energy moving in and out of form. All things that seem solid really aren't. It's easy to argue based on physical appearances and touch that things are indeed solid, but put anything under a powerful enough microscope, and you will see 99.9% space. The other 0.1% is a frenzy of subatomic particles that mysteriously switch from matter to waveform based on the observer.

This has actually been proven by quantum physics. Albert Einstein discovered that E = MC2 and proved to the scientific community that atoms and subatomic particles are not solid, but rather vibrating frequencies of pure energy that give them the "appearance" of being solid.

In other words, nothing is really as it appears. Everything vibrates. Everything is energy.

So what does this mean for you? Well, since EVERYTHING is energy, including you, your body, your surroundings, and everything you want... and since like attracts like energy through the Law of Attraction, your thoughts and feelings (which are energy too) actually draw to you energy that matches your energy.

Quite literally, your thoughts and feelings shape the world around you. As Bob Proctor says in The Secret, "What you hold in your mind, you will hold in your hand." This is scientific law that puts you in control of your own life. The implications of this are huge. It means that you can have anything you set your mind on... ANYTHING... because everything is made of the same "stuff"... ENERGY, and YOU attract to you what you "set" your energy to.

Did you get that? Recap: Everything is Energy. You are Energy. What you want (and don't want) is Energy. Set your vibration to match the vibration of what you want, and it will be attracted to you. (Just as having a vibration of what you don't want will attract what you don't want to you.)

Want more good things in life? Focus on feeling good. Be happy, grateful, and loving now. Start with the next person you see. Say something nice, offer a compliment, lend a helping hand, give someone a hug, or just smile. Nobody around? Give a plant or a pet some loving attention. Just you? Accept something that you may have judged or beaten yourself up about. Be easy with yourself. Lighten up. Relax. Take a deep breath and notice something beautiful around you.

Have fun with it. You are a magnificent system of energy connected to the infinite energy cosmos around you. So what will you manifest now that you know how energetic you are?

The Sedona Method

Today UPS delivered the Sedona Method to me. I ordered it last Tuesday as my interest peaked on the importance of letting go. This month I've realized more clearly how our own resistance blocks our experience of well-being and abundance, and I've made it a priority for myself to release whatever I'm holding onto so I can attract what I desire faster. I've been using the simple questions I found on the Sedona Method website (http://www.sedona.com/) with amazing results, so I am very excited about studying the full course I received today in depth.

I've already listened to the Introduction, which in and of itself is amazing because Hale Dwoskin (who was also in The Secret) basically gives away the meat and potatoes right from the start. (You can get this CD free from their website.) It's simplicity is baffling. Hale evens admits that most people reject it at first because of that. We've all been taught to complicate everything, but the great truths in life are usually in the simplest terms. Basically, if you can ask yourself three questions, you can let go of anything. Here they are again: "Could I let this go? (or can I?) Would I let it go? (or will I?)" And then ask yourself... "When?"

Can you let it go?

Will you let it go?

When?

The key is to keep asking yourself this a few times until you feel yourself relax and release whatever discomfort or tension you are feeling.

Can you?

Will you?

When?

It's so easy. Try it! I've used it to let go of irritation, worry, and even sugar cravings. Today I was in the grocery store and walked by the bakery. The cinnamon rolls and doughnuts seemed to be calling me over to them, but I stopped myself. I took a moment and noticed how I was feeling. Then I asked myself those questions...

Can I let it go?

Will I?

When?

After a couple rounds, the craving disappeared, and I continued on to the hot bar to get some real food. Anyone who knows me and my history with sugar knows that this is a miracle. (I used to put down a dozen doughnuts no problem AND chase it with two pints of ice cream!) The fact that I can avoid binging myself into a sugar-induced coma just from asking myself a few simple questions is absolutely incredible!

I am so excited about the potential of using the Sedona Method in my life. Not that I'm trying to sell you on it or anything. Trust me, I am in no way benefitting financially from promoting this. I just feel I've made one of the most amazing discoveries of my life and want to share it with anyone who will listen. So take it or leave it. If you take it, I think you're in for a real eye-opening experience!

I'll keep you posted on my progress... :)

All is Well

This short clip is from the orginal version of The Secret with Esther Hicks talking about how we are all surrounded by Well-Being. I was inspired to post it here after having an experience today while walking around a pond near my home. Watching the ducks and the geese effortlessly paddling along, seeing a small frog sunbathing on the footpath, and taking in the beauty of nature around me, I felt an overwhelming sense of wellbeing. Just stopping for a moment to be fully present and feel it made such a difference in how the rest of my day went. It helped me see that despite whatever challenges come up, all is well.

The Vibration of Success

Of the 7 Natural Laws of the Universe, the Law of Attraction, which is actually a part of the Law of Vibration, has received a lot of attention lately with the success of the movie and book, The Secret. Because it is universal, we all work with it whether we are aware of it or not. To be aware of it gives you the strong advantage of applying it consciously to attract greater success in your life.

The Law of Vibration states that Everything vibrates, and that nothing rests. The Universe is a cosmic soup of energy vibrating at different frequencies, and since like attracts like (which is The Law of Attraction in a nutshell), energy of like vibration resonates and attracts more like vibrations to it. It stands to reason then that if there is a vibration for everything, there must be a vibration of success.

Success is the desired or favorable outcome of achieving whatever you want. Basically, all success is motivated by the feeling we believe we will have when we accomplish our goal or get what we want. Whether it is the sense of a job well done, gaining recognition, or acquiring something material like a new car or house, that feeling we want is happiness.

We do what we do because we think it will make us feel better. Deep down, all we really want is to feel good. Everyone has their own idea of what feels good, be it love, power, being appreciated, peace, or relaxing on the beach, but what it all comes down to is that to feel good is to be successful - to be full of success - to be full of the desired outcome, which is ultimately happiness.

So the vibration of success is any vibration that feels good. To focus on feeling good attracts more success to you. The feelings that have the highest vibration and the strongest attractive power for success are love, gratitude, and joy.

Your emotions are indicators of your vibrational frequency. The better you feel, the more aligned you are vibrationally to the things you desire. This is why doing what you love is so important. It is following your bliss and doing the things you are passionate about that brings true success.

Pay attention to your emotions. They are immediate feedback of your vibrational state. You can shift your vibration in an instant with an intention to do so. As soon as you decide to focus on something that feels good, you will attract more thoughts that feel good. And with the Law of Attraction, you will draw success to you like a magnet.

Having a vibration of success is knowing you are already free, powerful, good, and loved. Have a strong sense of value, purpose, and connection with life. Give and be of service to others, and the Universe will respond by supporting your expanding vibration. Maintain this vibration and prioritize feeling good, and you will surely attract all the success you could ever want in your life.

The Optimist's Creed

The other day I got an email from The Secret Scrolls, a newsletter written by Rhonda Byrne, producer of The Secret. In it, she wrote about the "past greats", teachers who inspired The Secret, and encouraged her readers to experience "The Optimist's Creed" by Christian D. Larson. Written almost 100 years ago, it has now been updated and made into a wonderful website slideshow at http://thesecret.tv/optimists-creed/

Rhonda writes, "Be sure to read the words "I Promise Myself" at the beginning of every new line and you will maximize all the power of The Secret."

She's right. I did so and felt chills running down by spine. I went ahead and printed the last page from the website and now have it on my wall to read before I leave the house.

Being an optimist is one of the most beneficial things you can do for yourself and others. Having an intention to be positive during your day to day activities makes all the difference, and everything you do has a ripple effect on the lives of everyone you touch.

"There is no greater force for change in the world than a truly happy, passionate, and caring person." - Barry Neil Kaufman, founder of The Option Institute.

The Secret Memory Game

Very cool! I just found this on The Secret website. Me and my sister used to play the game "Memory" when we were kids, and she would kick my ass! I just tried the Secret Memory Game and finished it in 39 tries. For some reason I'm thinking I could have done better.

I wonder how my sister will do... (She'll probably get it done in 20 tries.)

At least I got a cool quote to match my number by Hale Dwoskin about letting go. So I did get something good out of it!

Try it. It's a lot of fun, and you gain some wisdom in the process. Also, you learn about some of the programs the teachers from The Secret offer. I've looked into many of them myself, and they are all worth checking out. I'm particularly fond of Joe Vitale's work, but love what all of the teachers are doing to help people live more successful and empowered lives.

7 Powerful Processes to Attract Anything Fast

Want to know how to attract what you desire fast? Use one of the following powerful processes to bring what you want into your life sooner than later. Use a combination of them to manifest it even faster. Use them all together and you may just see results today!

Powerful Process #1: Decision

All things begin with a thought. It is our choice what thoughts we focus on. We decide to pay attention to one thought or another, and the more focus and attention we put on a thought, the more attractive force we give it. It is through our decisive power that we select which thoughts we want to focus on. By choosing to focus more and more on a particular thought or idea, the bigger and clearer it becomes. One thing to be aware of: To not decide is to decide. People who appear to be indecisive are actually being decisive about being indecisive. Instead of using the powerful process of decision to focus on what they want, they use it to convince themselves that they don't know what they want. Either way, the Law of Attraction is at work and you get what you focus on.

Powerful Process #2: Intention

Once a decision is made to focus on a thought that has a desired outcome, setting an intention to attract that idea into your reality is very powerful. Intention is the mother of all creation. It is desire for a specific result and the determination to get it. Intention is moving forward with purpose and aspiring to achieve the results a mind is set on. Set an intention to be, do, or have something, and you powerfully summon the Universe to arrange itself to manifest your desires.

Powerful Process #3: Visualization

Taking the time to picture what you want in your mind and see yourself already having or experiencing it is extremely powerful. The key to effective visualization is feeling with all of your senses what it would be like if you have what you want now. This is much like playing "make believe", but here you are affirming to the Universe that what you want is already so. By doing this, you powerfully attract to you what you desire because it quite literally is already yours! What you see in your mind, you will hold in your hand. One tip when it comes to visualizing: the mind likes movement, so see yourself doing things, moving about, driving the car, walking through the house you want, etc.

Powerful Process #4: Gratitude

Everyone knows how great it feels to be appreciated. When someone thanks us, we want to do more for them. That's why being grateful is so powerful. Appreciating something literally appreciates it (makes it increase). Expressing gratitude in advance of receiving what you desire draws it to you. The more appreciative you are, the stronger your attractive force. Best of all, gratitude feels wonderful, and it too affirms to the Universe that you already have what you desire. And the Universe always responds to our thoughts with "Your wish is my command!"

Powerful Process #5: Releasing

The biggest obstacle to attracting our desires is our attachment to old ways of thinking. Even if we are experiencing something undesirable, on some level it is more comfortable than change. Resistance to change and new experiences stops the manifesting of our desires cold in their tracks. Though most of us won't admit that we are sabotaging our own success, deeper beliefs (old patterns of thought) prevent us from moving quickly into what we want. Releasing that resistance is probably the most important of all the processes. All it takes is the practice of letting go. There are many methods to accomplish this, meditation being a highly effective one, but it really all just comes down to relaxing our hold on certain thoughts. A quick way to do this comes from the Sedona Method: Ask yourself, "Could you let this go? Will you let this go? When?" And repeat that to yourself until you feel you've released it. Once you have, the natural flow of universal energy will be drawn to the attractive force of your desires.

Powerful Process #6: Action

This is a crucial part of the creation equation. The Universe moves to bring to you what you desire, but it also takes you moving to align yourself with it. If you pay attention to your intuition, you will be inspired to take action that brings you closer to your intention. Like pieces of a puzzle, the Universe is organizing things to complete the picture you hold in your mind, but you are the one who puts it together. The Universe is like someone looking over your shoulder and saying "That one goes there." It is then up to you to perform the action that brings you closer to the desired outcome. There is a quote that I have on my desk: "Pray as if everything depended on God, and then work as if everything depended on you."

Powerful Process #7: Allowing

Allowing is simply letting things be what they are. It is being detached from the outcome and unconcerned with what others are doing around you. That doesn't mean that you stop caring. It just means that you stop letting yourself waste energy on trying to control how things happen. Figuring out how your desires are going to manifest is not your job. That's what the Universe does for you infinitely better than you ever could. Not to say you aren't a great organizer, but there are things transpiring you aren't even aware of that are ultimately going to benefit you and bring to you what you want. Allow the Universe to sort out the details. Your role is to keep declaring what you want. It's like you are the CEO of your life and the Universe is your Manager that takes care of all the mundane shuffling of people and events so you enjoy the fruits of their labor.

So there you have it. 7 powerful processes to attract anything fast. Use them often, but most importantly, have fun with it. Feeling good about yourself, your life, and enjoying the process is ultimately what matters... (and literally causes things to materialize.)

How to Experience Prosperity

"Prosperity is the ability to do what you want to do at the instant you want to do it."
- Raymond Charles Barker

Sounds great, but how do you actually experience prosperity if you aren't born into wealth, a lottery winner, or given a large sum of money to live off of?

The answer eludes most of the general population who live paycheck to paycheck, are overwhelmed with credit card debt, and barely have any savings in the bank. That was my story a few months ago, but I turned it around in a very short time with what I learned about the Law of Attraction from the movie "The Secret".

The key to experiencing prosperity is focus, especially if you want to improve your finances to the point where you are free to do what you want when you want. Until you make a decision to focus your attention on something, you will never experience it.

The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. Just as similar vibrations resonate with each other like a tuning fork, our thoughts attract to us experiences and things that are a vibrational match to our focus. If we are focusing and thinking about debt, we attract more debt. If we are focusing and thinking about prosperity, we attract into our lives things that bring us the experience of prosperity.

By definition, prosperity is the condition of being successful. Success means many things to different people, but ultimately the underlying motivation for any kind of success is the pursuit of happiness. Dig a little deeper on why someone wants the promotion, the raise, the new car, home, or partner, and it all boils down to wanting to be happier.

The catch is that things do not bring lasting happiness. Most successes are short lived and the happiness fades once the newness of the achievement passes. Lasting happiness and true success are a result of consistent focus on being happy now, and in a short time that focus will attract prosperity.

Being happy now is easy. It is the natural state of our being when we let go of all the thoughts we hold onto. If you can take a deep breath and relax, you can be happy now. To make it even more powerful, think of something to be grateful for. As you start focusing on positive thoughts and feel good, you will start to powerfully attract more good into your life.

When you focus on the good, prosperity comes naturally, and you will begin to attract to you opportunities and ideas that inspire you to take action. This is the critical moment where quick decision making truly serves you, for to hesitate and wobble indecisively in procrastination only causes you to lose precious momentum. The Universe likes speed. When you have an inspired thought, act on it.

The time it takes for you to experience prosperity depends on you. If you resist it, it will take much longer. If you trust your intuition and go with the flow, holding your vision with sharp focus on what you want, you will attract everything you need to create the life you desire. And when you look back on your journey from lack to prosperity, you will see how it was all just a matter of what you focused on.

The Universe is abundant. Prosperity is all around you. To experience it, all you have to do is shift your focus and see what was there all along.

Your Emotional Guidance System

Your Emotional Guidance System (EGS) is an incredible internal measure of seeing whether or not you are on track with what you desire or not. Our emotions let us know what we are thinking, and since our thoughts are the creative spark for everything we experience, paying attention to what we are feeling and adjusting our thinking truly serves us.

There are lots of emotions, but all of them come down to two primary feelings. One feels good. One feels bad. If you are feeling bad, you're off track. If you feel good, you are on course to manifesting your desires and being true to yourself.

If you are feeling bad (ie. depressed, angry, sad, unhappy), life seems hard, difficult, stressful, and a struggle. Feeling bad consistently creates negative results in your life and in your body. You attract to you more things that feel bad, and even create dis-ease in your body if you don't turn it around.

If you are feeling good (ie. happy, love, gratitude, excitement, bliss), then life flows easily and effortlessly. Living is joyful and fun, and your body responds with vibrant health and energy. You attract to you more good and abundance, and life becomes an amazing experience of being, doing, and having all that you desire.

Most of us go back and forth from feeling bad to feeling good, and think that it depends on what is going on around us. We are "victims of circumstance" and don't take full responsibility for how we feel and what we are getting. We say things like "He made me angry", "She pissed me off", or "That movie made me laugh". Even when we feel good and happy, often we give someone or something else besides us the credit for making us feel the way we feel. When we feel bad, we blame others for it. We even "blame" those that make us happy.

We all have the ability to free ourselves of this emotional bondage by taking total responsibility for our lives and everything in it. It isn't the things outside of us that make us feel something, it is our thoughts and beliefs about what is happening that creates our feelings.

I learned a simple model for understanding this at a place called the Option Institute years ago. It's called "Stimulus-Belief-Response", and basically it means that between what we experience and how we respond is a choice, a thought or belief that determines our how we will respond.

According to this model, all stimulus is neutral. In and off itself, nothing means anything. We are the ones who place meaning on something with our thoughts and beliefs. So there is this opportunity in each moment to decide what we want to think and believe about it, which in turn determines our response. Responses are our feelings and behaviors. If we pay attention to what our reaction is to something, it will lead directly back to a thought we had about it.

Now, to bring this full circle, understanding our EGS (Emotional Guidance System) and using it to trace back to what you are thinking and believing is a powerful process of self-awareness and empowerment. Once we start taking responsibility for how we are feeling, we then have the choice to think differently and have the desired response we want.

Everything is a choice. Every feeling you have is a decision you are making inside yourself to think a certain way about something. If you choose to change your mind and think in a new way, you will immediately experience a new feeling and respond to the same stimulus differently.

For example, let's say someone cuts you off in traffic. Most of us would immediately get angry and blame the driver who swerved in front of us for making us angry. The truth is that what he did was just stimulus and actually was a neutral event. It was our thought about what happened that made us angry. We probably judged the guy as an asshole and made up that he was just trying to piss us off. Maybe he didn't see us and actually had no clue he cut you off.

But here's the miracle about this whole process. Let's say he did cut you off on purpose. You still have a choice in how you are going to respond. You could accept him. You could forgive him. You could even bless him for giving you an opportunity to practice patience. The point is that you are the one who decides what it will be!

So are you going to be the one who decides, or are you going to keep playing the victim? You are the creator of your life. You are in control of your emotions. You get to decide how your life will be from this moment on.

Your EGS was designed to serve you in being a more powerful creator of your life. Master the use of your emotions to guide you towards adjusting your thinking so that you have clearer and more powerful thoughts attracting what you desire, and you'll have mastered your life.

Taking Total Responsibility

I have recently come across a new concept to me. It is one of taking Total Responsibility... not just for yourself, but for everything in your life. As Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len explains to Joe Vitale in their book Zero Limits, "Total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life, simply because it is in your life, is your responsibility. In a literal sense, the entire world is your creation."

Joe Vitale goes on to write "Whew. This is tough to swallow. Being responsible for what I say or do is one thing. Being responsible for what everyone in my life says or does is quite another. Yet, the truth is this: if you take complete responsibility for your life, then everything you see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is your responsibility because it is in your life."

"This means that terrorist activity, the president, the economy - anything you experience and don't like - is up for you to heal. They don't exist, in a manner of speaking, except as projections from inside you. The problem isn't with them, it's with you, and to change them, you have to change you."

Wow. Pretty deep, huh. It makes sense to me though because I believe that ultimately we are all connected, we are all one and the same, and as Neale Donald Walsch beautifully puts it in his book, Conversations with God: "There is only one of us."

So if we are at cause for all things in our life, if we are the creators of everything we experience and everything that comes into our experience, then we have an awesome responsibility - not only to ourselves, but to everyone we are aware of (because ultimately, they are us) - to heal ourselves and the world we create. This gives whole new meaning to a quote I love by Ghandi: "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Taking total responsibility gives us the power to change anything and everything in our lives that we want to improve. Joe Vitale continues to write: "If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone, even a mentally ill criminal, you do it by healing you. I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself and his patients. What was he doing exactly?"

Dr. Len explained, "I just kept saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you' over and over again. That's it." As I read more about Dr. Len's work with Ho'oponopono, key phrases to say to yourself to release and heal anything are "Please forgive me. I forgive you. I love you. Thank you. God Bless You."

Joe Vitale: "Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, your improve your world. Whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there's only one place to look: inside you. When you look, do it with love."

Well said, Joe.

Releasing Resistance

The only thing between you and what you want is your resistance to receiving it. Releasing that resistance is key if you truly want to attract all that you desire.

We live in an abundant Universe of infinite potential and possibility. Perfection is all around us. Well-being flows effortlessly through everything taking the path of least resistance. Grass doesn't strain to grow. Mountains don't struggle to become majestic peaks. The Universe does everything with zero effort.

Our most natural state is one of perfect health, unlimited abundance, absolute joy, total freedom, and unconditional love. Anything that is preventing or blocking us from experiencing this is caused by resistance.

That resistance is in the form of negative thoughts, repressed emotions, tightly held beliefs, false ideas, and illusions we accept as fact. The truth is that we have always had the choice to let all that go and allow the flow of abundance to heal our lives.

Everything is energy. Therefore releasing emotional blocks and resistance is just a matter of getting the energy to move and flow inside us. Letting go and releasing resistance inside you is the shortcut to having all you desire in any area of your life.

I have learned of three methods for doing this kind of releasing energy work through a few of the teachers of The Secret:

Bob Doyle promotes a process called EFT, which stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. Click this link to watch a video about it: http://www.emofree.com/splash/video_popup.asp
I'm currently reading a book by Carol Look called "Attracting Abundance with EFT", which is highly recommended by Bob Doyle as well.

Hale Dwoskin promotes a process called The Sedona Method. Click this link for more info about it and a sample of how it works: http://www.sedona.com/html/Sample-Of-Process.aspx

Joe Vitale promotes a process called Ho’oponopono in his new book "Zero Limits", which is an ancient Hawaiian art to neutralize and purify ourselves. Click this link to learn more: http://www.hooponopono.org/

At the core of every one of these processes is letting go. Forgiving ourselves and those we have blamed is also an important part of releasing our resistance. Finally, loving ourselves, being grateful, and blessing it all opens us to profound healing.

So as Hale Dwoskin would say as part of The Sedona Method:

Can you let it go?

Will you let it go?

When?

Using The Secret to Lose Weight

I was talking to one of my dear friends today about losing weight and what The Secret says about it. She had just watched the movie again and wants to apply The Secret to lose some extra pounds. The movie doesn't go into detail about it, but the book and audio book do discuss specific suggestions for using The Secret to lose weight.

Rhonda Byrne writes in her book: "The first thing to know is that if you focus on losing weight, you will attract back having to lose more weight, so get "having to lose weight" out of your mind. It's the very reason why diets don't work."

"The second thing to know is that the condition of being overweight was created through you thought about it. To put in the most basic terms, if someone is overweight, it came from thinking "fat thoughts", whether that person was aware of it or not. A person cannot think "thin thoughts" and be fat. It completely defies the Law of Attraction."

When I was talking to my friend today, I suggested that she start with her goal in mind. Think of the weight or size you want to be and focus on that. Think "thin thoughts". Don't be too concerned about how it's going to happen, just stay focused on the end result. I suggested to my friend for her to remember when she was at the weight she liked, to recall how it felt, and if there were any negative feelings associated with that memory, to let them go and just focus on what she liked.

You can even create a vision board of pictures of the body you want. I've even heard of people clipping pictures of other people's bodies and pasting photos of their heads to make it look like it's their new physique. In fact, I did that for a vision board of me on the new ATV I want. I cut out the picture and pasted my head on the rider's body. It's an awesome visualization tool!

The most important factor though in reaching your goal (and any goal for that matter) is to feel good. As Rhonda Byrne points out in her book: "The definition of the perfect weight is the weight that feels good for you. You must feel good about You. This is important because you cannot attract your perfect weight if you feel bad about your body now. Praise and bless every square inch of your body. As you feel good about You, you are on the frequency of your perfect weight, and you are summoning it."

One last tip offered in The Secret book on the subject of losing weight is being completely present and focused when you eat. When you pay attention to the tastes and textures of the food you are eating, focusing on chewing it and enjoying all the flavors, your body is able to assimilate all the nutrients and digest it perfectly. If you slow down and take the time to really enjoy and appreciate your meal, you may notice you don't eat so much and are satisfied sooner.

So be easy with yourself, see your body in your mind at your ideal weight now, focus on feeling good, and be present when eating. That's the real Secret to losing weight.

The Secret to Money

The chapter in The Secret that talks about money starts with Jack Canfield talking about some of the negative beliefs he accepted from his parents when he was a kid. "Money doesn't grow on trees" was a popular one I heard my mother say too. I grew up hearing "We can't afford that" constantly and was taught that you had to work hard just to get by. I often got teased by the kids at school for wearing "Winner's Choice" shoes bought from Wal-mart, and I dreamed of one day being like the "rich" kids who got anything they wanted.

When I was 18, I was introduced to the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill when I was in college. I read it over and over, I studied it, and I tried desperately to change my way of thinking so I could become rich. But I made the mistake a lot of people do when they don't see results right away, and I impatiently tossed the book aside saying "This stuff doesn't work!"

As James Ray points out in The Secret, the Universe is always saying "Your wish is my command." When we give up like that and go back to our negative thinking and beliefs, we push what was just about to break through the surface back down. When James explained that, a light went off and I instantly understood why I never saw the wealth I wanted in my life. I was never consistent in changing my way of thinking.

So how do you turn it around and begin attracting all that wonderful prosperity and abundance everyone in The Secret seems to be masters at? Joe Vitale asks all the questions on most of our minds: "How can I attract more money into my life? How can I get more of the green stuff? How can I, with my job, dealing with the credit card debt that I have, and the realization that maybe there's a ceiling on the money that can come in because it's coming to me through my job, how can I bring in more?"

Then he bluntly answers with: "Intend it! Say how much you would like to have." Bob Proctor goes on to say "Most people have a goal of getting out of debt. That will keep you in debt forever. Whatever you are thinking about you will attract. You'll say it's to get out of debt. I don't care if it's get out or get in, if you're thinking debt, you are attracting debt. Set up an automatic debt repayment program and start focusing on prosperity."

I was one of those people. I was over $60,000 in debt, and I was so overwhelmed by it I got nauseous when it came time to pay bills. After watching The Secret, I saw how powerfully I was attracting more debt with those negative feelings. So I shifted my focus from what I owed to being grateful for what I received.

David Schirmer, shares something that I applied immediately: "The Law of Attraction states that what you focus on you will get, so I got a bank statement. I whited out the total and I put a new total in there. I put exactly how much I wanted to see in the bank." So I did the same thing. I took my credit card statements, whited out all the balances, and put zero balances on them with "Paid in full!" written in red. Then I took my bank statements and whited out the balances and put the new amount I wanted to have.

Since I have taken my focus off of the debt and visualized myself having more, amazing things have transpired as I keep my intention to attract prosperity and abundance. So the Secret to money is that wealth is a mindset. But remember that wealth isn't just about money, it's only a part of it. Having all the things that we desire doesn't guarantee what we really want, which is ultimately to be happy. True wealth is a combination of health, happiness, love, and prosperity.
